Borgward B IV version with Raketenpanzerbüchse 54 (Panzerjäger Wanze)
At the beginning of 1945, the idea arose for the development of a small and in the ruins of cities easily moving tank destroyer with missile armament. It was supposed to be a kind of replacement for classic tanks and fighters, whose mobility was quite difficult in the ruins of cities. A light jagdpanzer was created, the basis of which is based on the chassis of an ammunition vehicle VK 3.02, respectively a remotely controlled charge carrier Ladungsträgera B IV (Sd.Kfz.301) manufactured by Borgward. The armament consisted of six main Panzerschreck caliber 88 mm. The missile was able to pierce up to 220 mm of armor. There were also three anti-personnel landmines throwers on the frontal armor. The total was to be in 2/1945 in Pz.Ers. in Ausb.Abt. 5 56 vehicles converted in Neurupine in this way. According to old claims, the machine in the photos at the end of 4/1945 was in the state 11.SS PzGrDiv "Nordland" fighting in the district of Berlin Mitte. According to new claims, all machines should belong to the combat unit 1.Panzer-Vernichtungs-Brigade "Hitlerjugend". After the capitulation of the city, Russian soldiers found the machine in photographs on the main street Unter den Linden near the Brandenburg Gate.
