TREVA-30
An armoured recovery vehicle designed for recovery of trapped equipment and other objects, handling, removal of damaged equipment, evacuation and rescue work, crane work, engineered landscaping and removal of obstacles for recovery purposes.
The vehicle is built on a Tatra 815-7T0BC4 8x8.1R chassis with a PUMA armoured cab from EXCALIBUR ARMY. The cab is pressurized with two air conditioning units, dependent and independent heating and filter ventilation. Inside there are five ergonomic seats with four-point harnesses for two crew members and the crew of the displaced vehicle.
The vehicle is capable of towing trailers with a maximum weight of 65 t on paved roads, and only up to 15 t off-road. The auxiliary winch has a rope length of 200 m with a maximum direct pull of 0.6 kN. Both winches are manufactured by the German company Rotzler.
Above the rear axles is a telescopic crane from ČKD Mobile Cranes with two booms with a 360° turning range. The crane is remotely controlled without operator's cabin, it is equipped with two winches with maximum pull of 80 kN each with possibility to increase up to 160 kN when using pulleys. The total direct pull can thus be up to 320 kN. Four hydraulic supports with levelling are used for stabilisation.
The removal of damaged or unroadworthy equipment is carried out by a removal device installed at the rear of the vehicle.
The project to develop the recovery vehicle started under the name WRV-20 at the end of November 2017 and lasted until the end of December 2021. The development was carried out under the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation organised by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade. The total recognised costs for the development and production of the prototype amounted to CZK 30 059 000, of which non-public domestic and foreign funding sources amounted to CZK 22 544 000.
The prototype of the TREVA-30 recovery vehicle was presented to the public for the first time at EUROSATORY 2022, which took place in Paris from 13 to 17 June 2022.
At IDEX 2023 in February 2023, the Czech company EXCALIBUR ARMY and RESOURCE INDUSTRIES from the United Arab Emirates announced a contract of up to €77 million for the production and supply of vehicles on Tatra chassis. The contract will enable the latter company to manufacture and supply the UAE market with up to 200 Tatra chassis vehicles for military and civilian use. The deliveries include TREVA-30 recovery and recovery vehicles.

Prototype of the TREVA-30 recovery vehicle together with an armoured personnel carrier Pandur II 8x8 at the company's premises EXCALIBUR ARMY, Šternberk, 9. On Monday, January 9, 2023, Prime Minister Petr Fiala and a government delegation visited the company EXCALIBUR ARMY. The Prime Minister visited the company as part of his business trip to Olomouc Region. The guests first got acquainted with the company's history and present EXCALIBUR ARMY during a presentation at its development centre. Afterwards, Prime Minister Fiala and his entourage were able to see a demonstration of military equipment being developed or produced in EXCALIBUR ARMY in front of one of the production halls. In the presence of journalists, Petr Fiala and the owner of CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP, Michal Strnad, christened the newly developed TREVA-30 recovery and recovery vehicle.
