122mm mountain howitzer D12

In the framework of the unification of weapons and ammunition with the Red army developed the pilsen Škoda also 122mm mountain houfnici D12. The design is based on its predecessor, 105mm mountain howitzer D10, but it is already komorována on the soviet divided the ammunition for the 122mm houfnici vz. 38.
Howitzer consists of a complete barrel, cradle with brzdovratným device (hereinafter referred to as BVZ), the upper and lower carriage with the rozevíratelnými lafetovými arms, axles with wheels, miřidel and lafetového of the shield.

The barrel consists of the soul, the ass mainly with unášecím the naked eye, the physical accessibility of airports of the bridge and screwed the barrel. The conclusion is a horizontal wedge. For houfnici was envisaged with the soviet auto ammunition for 122mm houfnici vz. 38, mainly grenades gusty, dýmový and průpalný.

Unfortunately, this development ended the prototype in 1954. Further fate of this prototype are unknown so far.
