A strategy based on the Blitzkrieg engine from an alternate history when the Americans responded to the deployment of tactical nuclear missiles in Cuba with force. Cuba became a nuclear island and the British did not fare much better. The Americans and Russians are relatively better off because of the size of their countries. With troops moving into the ruins of major cities, there is radioactive fallout almost everywhere. So much for the historical background of the game. Units are again beautifully rendered and with the same realistic statistics on armour thickness, weapon strength etc. as in Blitzkrieg. In addition, they are moved forward by a decade or so, so we get lost with more modern technology. And as far as I know, there's no shortage of shipping either. I'm currently downloading it from the NET, so I'll see what and how and let you know more when I start it

It looks good, but the Blitz engine is great too. The market is lacking something like this (if it's real-time) and although the story is probably nothing special, it's not that important in strategy. Finally, Soviet cold war tech would make an appearance.

Samozrejme ze je to RTS. Ale vraj su tam aj neake takticke prvky ktore mozes ovladat pomocou turn-based.

So I finally got the game and I'm playing it. It's an improved Blitzkrieg engine, so it's something to look at. There are 4 campaigns. For the USSR, China, USA-GB and Frnauz I don't know what alliance. The combat is realtime, but the tactics with the armies is turnovo..a bit like Rome: Total war. In contrast to Blitzkrieg, Logistics has been strengthened, as refueling is now necessary and vehicles can't usually be repaired to full value directly during combat, this can only be done in the turn-based part. The enemy is more than intelligent on normal difficulty and his artillery is a very unpleasant super. That's why it's better to keep units in large dispersions if he has artillery, once I lost half of my army right at the start of a mission. Since I started playing it only yesterday, I haven't got to the air force yet and I can't say how it works. I might find out today.
