Automatic VHF sight PV 5

Automatic VHF radio bombsight was intended to use the airport stations and ships of the Royal navy (Royal Navy).
The frequency range of 100 - 150 Mc/s (MHz).

He could work on one frequency ( for 1 aircraft).
The basis was the receiver "Receiver Type P 47", the older version of the receiver Type 62A. It was the receiver used in the VHF-finders and the RAF marked "Receiver R 1392".

The differences were in minor structural elements. The appearance and layout of the controls on the front panel was identical.

Later, he was the type of PV 5 replaced by a "dual channel" making - types of PV 10 and the PV 11.
