Air oddiel (aviacionnyj otriad, aviaotrjad) bol in the 1922 basic útvarom sovietskeho the air force. The number of lietadiel in leteckom oddiely bol rôzny and depended from the kind of air force.

From 16.09.1924 bol oddiel stíhacieho air force zložený of little rojov (3 x 3 lietadlá), oddiel prieskumného and ľahkého bombardovacieho the air force of the two rojov (2 x 3 lietadlá) and in bombardovacom oddiely boli tri lietadlá.

In the summer of 1925 boli to zostavy streleckých zborov začlenené air oddiely after 6, 8, and 12 lietadiel, designed pre close prieskum and needs delostrelectva. With prechodom on plukovný system organizácie air jednotiek in 1938, survived air oddiely len in dopravnom and námornom letectve.
