The Fw 189 A-2 of the Slovak State Air Force (Slovak Air Force) again carried the classic German camouflage of broken fields of black / dark green with yellow accessories. The distinctive markings consisted of Slovak crosses. ldentification markings of the aircraft are unknown, the only known identifying feature being in some cases the trailing three digits of the serial number on the engine cowling.

An Fw 189 A-2 from Squadron 1 at Žilina made an emergency belly landing on 13 May 1944, piloted by Rtk. Majchrák, due to landing gear failure. Even after repairs he remained out of the squadron. It wore the camouflage of RLM 70/71/65 colours with yellow accessories on the wing tips. The registration number 305 was painted on the right engine cowling in black on a blue background and on the left in white on green, similar to Fw 189 A-2 No 316 (which took part in the crossing to the USSR).
