(People's Guard)


A secret military organization of the Polish Workers' Party (Polska Partia Robotnicza PPR), founded during World War II on March 28, 1942.


The People's Guard, as an armed organization of the PPR, implemented the goals of the Comintern and the political goals of the Polish Communists in the USSR.
On 1 January 1944 it was renamed : People's Army (Armia Ludowa).
