Iraq - Combat module M17 for border fortifications
Dear,
before the time the Iraqis claimed that the defeat of ISIL, but the situation is not so clear-cut. For example, a map of the war Front Asia shows that fighters of the ISIL have set up on both sides of the syrian-iraqi border outpost in the desert. Whether these rebellious areas přezhraničně support is not known, but there are indications that the iraqi pro-government shiite militia al-Hashd al-Shaabi, known as the People's Mobilization Forces (PMF) is of a different opinion. Perhaps, therefore, instructed its factory and the developer pooled in the Technical Directorate for Military Production (TDMP) to build a border defence system.

Known information about the border fortifications
- after the entire length of the border will set up a defensive single-row fence,
- fencing has to be equipped with sensors and a heat-detecting thermal cameras,
- defense of the fence will ensure the towers with remote-controlled firing post M17 (similar to RCFS),
- the tower is armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun M2HB with an effective range of 3 km,
- along the fence will be underway to the road, which will allow physical security section as well as the arrival of reinforcements.

The construction of the test section carried out, the engineers 33. brigade of the shia militia PMF.

Note:
To date, not aware of any technical data of the firing of an ensemble.
From the accompanying photographs it is not certain at what distance the object is located with the operators and the soldiers of the intervention force.
It is not certain whether the firing unit and its sensors are with the operator connected wirelessly or with a cable.
It is not certain whether the fence is equipped with sensors notifying underground work.
Some of the elements of the defense system remotely resemble the north american Containerized Weapons System (CWS) used for the guarding and defense of the bases..
