Kainuu Cross – Kainuun risti.

This commemorative medal from the period of the so-called Winter war was founded in 1940. Custom decoration was intended for soldiers who fought in the area Suomussalmi, Lieks and Kuhmo.

Honours is made up of the cross, which is once again a reminder of the order, or cross Sv. George. The central circular medallion bears the figure of an animal (bear ) with a sword in his hand, that reflects the strike, or more accurately strike back. Furthermore, there is the year of 1939-1940. The cross was awarded only for combat in the Winter war of 1939-1940. The size of the cross is 35 mm x 35 mm .

Collectors of decorations of Austria-Hungary will be interested in certain form the shape of a cross with Jubielním cross of 1908.

This cross, which is somewhat out of the system commemorative decorations from the years 1939-40 and from the period 1941-44 is rare, and in our conditions even unavailable.
