History:
Rikugun Koku Hombu in 1934, the u.s. specifications for the development of a new fighter aircraft, which should be: "... the best japanese fighter aircraft." Ordered were the prototypes of factories Kawasaki Kokuki Kogyo K.To., which built a prototype of the Ki-10, as the second was přihkášen prototype Nakajima Ki-11.
