Čína ako prvá vo svete začala stavbu jadrového generátora 3. generácie,dnes oznámili noviny Global Times.
Na projekt sa vynaloží 5,88 mlrd. dolárov a do r.2014 majú byť spustené 2 bloky elektrárne.Čína ako najväčší "výrobca" skleníkových plynov vyrába 9,1 TW el. energie z jadrových elektrární,čo je len 1,3 %. Až 84 % energie vyrába prostredníctvom tepelných uhlových elektrární. Do r. 2020 má Čína vyrábať 5 % energie z JE.
