the Structural differences of the La-9:[/heading]

At first glance it seems that the new fighter aircraft Lavochkin La-9 follows immediately from its predecessor La 7. The main difference was no longer a requirement on the service life of the aircraft, post-war fighter had to endure in the service of several years, at the war La-7 is rather envisaged short-lived. Lavočkinovo OKB proposed new aircraft war fighter jet, although similar, but this was a completely new design differing in the following main points:

1.) completely new design of the airframe, the new aircraft is all-metal – Lavochkin La-7 was the design of a mixed (predominantly hardwood).
2.) the new all-metal wing with the speed laminar profile and with the straight "clipped the end of the wings, aerodynamically cleaner the leading edge of the wing (without the slots, the intake opening for the compressor).

Newly installed fotokulomet Fairchild type 6, radio RSI-6M/HIM, a radio transmitter RSI-6, radio compass RPKO-10M and the identifier of the "own - foreign" SC-3M.
6.) new tail surfaces with a greater surface area.
7.) completely different fuel system, thanks to the relief of metal wings, it was possible to install the wings a total of four vakovité the fuel tank in the fuselage was another lock tank. In all reservoirs, it was possible for a short period to pump an inert gas (cooled exhaust gases). In total, it was possible to carry 825 liters of fuel, later up to 850 liters.
8.) the installation of the massive cannon armament consisting of four synchronized cannons the NS-23S, so a massive armament did not bear, perhaps, no single-seat fighter of the time (La-7 carried three cannons B-20S, which was much less effective armament).
9.) the oil cooler was placed in a completely new bath at the bottom of the airplane and was shifted as far to the back.
