The Data needed to guide bombs to a target (the speed and height of flight, location of the aircraft and the target), it was possible to insert into the onboard computer of the aircraft-carrier and the bombs before take-off to combat for years. If this would not have been possible, for should the necessary data itself, the crew of the aircraft.

The range of heights shozu LAD could move in a range of heights from 30 to 12 000 metres at speeds of 550 to 1 200 km/h (according to some sources, up to 1 297 km/h). In shozu at altitudes of 30 to 100 metres above the terrain with a range of LAD to make up to 13 km. Chute at altitudes above 200 meters range increased to about 24 km. Puma was able to make a side and elevation maneuver and hit a target 4.5 km away from the original track of the aircraft during shozu.
