„Б.М.АЛЕКСАНДРЪ III. ИМП. У САМОД. ВСЕРОСС.



Revers:
V ploše medaile je znak obchodní akademie a v horní části je nápis:
„ЗА ДОСТОИНСТВО“ ( Ve velmi volném překladu či významu – Za důstojnost či vážnost)


V dolní části je další nápis rozložen v půlkruhu:
„М.П.К.АКАДЕМИЯ - (Московска Практическо-Коммерческя)

Medal For merit
Медалъ За достоинство


The medal was founded in the reign of tsar Nikolai I. 20.September of the year 1835. It is interesting that the medal was intended specifically for members (professors, officials, administrators) of the Moscow business academy. The medal, however, was used to award highly gifted students who have with distinction finished their studies at the academy. Medal art page, beautiful for the time of the reign of Nikolai I. (the onset of Alexander III.) still a total of three times somewhat changed. It was always the adjustment of the front side of the medal and the portrait of the tsar.


Description of the medal:

Avers:
In the area of the medal is a portrait of tsar Alexander III. (on the right) and around the inscription:
"Б.М.АЛЕКСАНДРЪ III. ИМП. У САМОД. ВСЕРОСС.


Reverse:
In the area of the medal is the emblem of the business of the academy and in the upper part is the inscription:
"ЗА ДОСТОИНСТВО" ( In a very free translation or meaning For the dignity or solemnity)

At the bottom is another inscription distributed in a semicircle:
"М.П.К.АКАДЕМИЯ - (Московска Практическо-Коммерческя)


Medal know in gold with a diameter of 28 mm (see picture)

Silver medal with a diameter of 28 mm was awarded to students who have achieved good results. This medal was worn as a breast decoration on the ribbon of the order Sv. Anna folded into a loose kolodky.

Silver medal with a diameter of 50 mm are intended to be worn as a necklace medals. More about the award, the fit is not exactly known.

The tradition of issuing gold coins lasted even in the time of the Soviet union, when excellent graduating from college(almost every) graduates, who have achieved excellent ratings awarded small gold commemorative medal
