Медалъ За отличие


Silver medal with a diameter of 50 mm was formed on 5. February 1816 from a personal decision of the tsar Alexander I.
Mr. D.Also. Petrs, expert on this issue states that the medal was (hopefully) made and awarded only once, and that national Astrachánského cossack troops. The medal was awarded on the ribbon of the order of St. Anne.


Description of the medal:

Avers:
Bust of tsar Alexander I. in uniform Preobraženeckého regiment with the order of magnitude of the ribbon over the right shoulder. A copy of the medal:
"Б.М.АЛЕКСАНДРЪ EVEN. ИМПЕРАТОРЪ И САМОДЕРЖВЦЪ ВСЕПОСС.“

Reverse:
In the upper half of the medal is the inscription:
"ЗА ОТЛИЧИЕ"

At the bottom is no longer just a decorative single line.

The medal has a fixed small handle, through which the suspension ring to hang on the ribbon of the order of Sv. Anna.
