Medaile Za bojové zásluhy
Tato všeobecně záslužná medaile byla založena 13. prosince 1950.
Medaile byla určena příslušníkům „silových ministerstev, ale i záchranářům a hasičům. Byla určena k ocenění zásluh v době války, ale také v mírové době (např. hasiči). Udělovala se však i pohraničníkům, a všem, kteří se zbraní v ruce stáli proti záškodníkům a kapitalistům na stráži míru a pokroku (citace ze Statutu medaile).
