Died yesterday at the age of 41 years the former staff sergeant Beret Ronald Shurer. Medal of honor received 1.10.2018 for action at the battle of the Shok Valley in northeastern Afghanistan ten years ago, where he served as a medic green beret 3rd Special Forces Group. He was awarded also the Silver star. He died at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C.... where he was treated for lung cancer.
