Morpěch - morskaja pjechota, therefore the marine corps. Motto: Там где мы, там победа! (Where we, there is victory)

A tradition since tsar Peter I, when defeated the Swedes. 16. November 1705 created the first regiment of the marine corps. Around the year 1814 to the naval infantry of the black sea fleet got all the way to Paris. Participated in the fighting in the Crimean war in 1855, when they conquered the Sevastopol from the anglo-French and Turkish troops, to fight against Japan in 1904. Fought in both world wars. Rebuilt in the 60's. years of the 20th. century.

the Composition of the regiment in the days of the USSR: 3 battalions with BTR-60, 70, 80, combat swimmers, PT-76, T-72.

Training: the conquest of ports, docks for submarines, supply depots and airfields at the coast, paratrooper training, sabotage, recon.
