Motiv-3 ( Motiv-3) - self-aiming bomblet, also referred to as SPBE ( Самоприцеливающийся боевой элемент СПБЭ) intended for the destruction of armored vehicles developed in the 80s of the 20th century by the design office Bazaltová within the project PTAB-lete b prot ( ] PTAB-SP - Anti-tank aviation bomb self-targeting).

The bomblet itself exists in two versions - the so-called command and combat. In terms of external construction, the combat and command bombs are identical and do not differ in weight. They consist of a central tube to which a aiming module is connected at the side. On the outer part of the upper part of the central tube there are plastic stabilizers, inside there is a pair of parachutes (auxiliary and main) differing in dimensions. They are activated by pyropatrons at different stages of scattering. The lower part of the central tube of the combat bomb is filled with a cumulative warhead. The command bomb has a radar altimeter and control signal generation blocks for combat elements.

After scattering and initial stabilization, the command module provides height measurement above the terrain and, depending on this height, generates commands for combat bomblets (activation of parachutes, or transition to combat mode). These include a dual-band infrared sight (operating at 3-5 and 8-14 micrometer wavelengths) in the side module. In the search target, the bomblet itself is deviated from the axis of descent by 30 ° and focuses on the thermal radiation of combat equipment. The cumulative warhead ensures the penetration of steel armor with a thickness of up to 70 mm at a distance of 100 m.

The bomb is primarily intended for container bombs RBK-500, which are filled with 14 combat and one command element. It can also be filled into bombs RBK-250.

Further developments resulted in modifications to SPBU-D ( 9N349 Motiv-3M) or SPBU-K.
