Fuel for rocket engines UDMH (НДМГ)
UDMH - Asymmetrical dimethylhydrazin / Unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine
НДМГ - Несимметричный диметилгидразин
Chemical formula:
H2NN(CH3)2
Description:
Fuel UDMH is a volatile, clear liquid with a characteristic čpavkovým odor.
Features:
On the air yellows and absorbs from it the oxygen and carbon dioxide.
It is very well miscible with ethanol, ether, dimethylformamide, and hydrocarbons.
Water is soluble under heat. It dissolves in water and ethanol, in the air is practically insoluble. The fumes are explosive when the concentration of 2-95% UDMH in the air.
Use:
The major use of UDMH: bipropelant (two-component fuel) in rocket engines.
Action on the living organism:
Causes burns to skin, eyes and mucous membranes, irritation of the central nervous system and cancer.
