In 1936, the Royal Norwegian Army showed interest in the Swedish light tank Landsverk L-120. The Swedes supplied the Norwegians with one platform (chassis without superstructure and turret) for testing in 1938 at a cost of 30,000 Norwegian kroner (approx. $3,000). The Norwegians made a simple superstructure and turret out of unpanned sheet metal on the chassis, in which a single machine gun was armed. The Norwegian military magazine cited in the sources says it was a 12.7mm machine gun, but if that thing sticking out of the turret is a barrel, it doesn't look much like a 12.7mm. Other sources talk about a Colt MG machine gun, which would be an appearance match. I'm assuming the Colt MG is she armament of this tank. The machine has undergone tests in Norway's harsh climatic conditions. Interestingly, it was defacto the first tank of the Norwegian army. In terms of the platform, it was an advanced design for its time, with torsion-bar-sprung running wheels. The fate of the machine is unknown, most likely it was not involved in the fighting after the invasion of the Kingdom of Norway by Germany.
The machine was known by several names such as "Kongstanken" (royal tank), "Norgestanken" (Norwegian tank), but the most common name given in the literature is "Rikstanken" (national tank ???).
