Lachen-Speyerdorf Airport

The airport was established in 1912 as an aeroclub. In 1917 it was occupied by the German military administration and served as a training base. After the war, it was occupied by the French occupying forces until 1930. Subsequently handed over to the German civil administration. During World War II, it again served as a predominantly Luftwaffe training base. Plans for an Allied airfield called Y-68 have been canceled. Currently again an aeroclub airport.
