History / History
The direct predecessor of the unit was Seaplane and Bomber Reconnaissance Training School (from 13.7.1940 Operational Training Squadron), which was formed 1. may 1940 at the base of the Sea Island near Vancouver. Its mission was training airmen remote reconnaissance and bomber the air force how to hydroplánech, so the "classic" aircraft. 30. July 1942 was přeznačena on the 13. squadron ([b:him]Well. 13 (Operational Training) Squadron) and in the original tasks continued until its dissolution 9. November 1942.
Restored as fotoprůzkumná unit renaming the Fotoletky (Photographic Flight), which was formed 14. January 1943, at the base of the Rockcliffe near Ottawa. On the 13. squadron ([b:him]Well. 13 (Photographic) Squadron) was přeznačena 15. may 1944 only unofficially, 15. November 1946 was the name of 13. squadron confirmed for the official, but already 1. April of the following year shall lapse by renumbering the 413. squadron.
