History / History
The unit was formed 30. may 1942 at the base of the Torbay (Newfoundland) as a bombing patrol squadron. Its main tasks were up to the dissolution of the 30. June 1945 anti-submarine patrols and protection of convoys in the east coast of Canada.

Operating flights: 3085
Flight hours (operating/non-operating): 16 851 / 8443
Victory: 1 submarine sunk, 7 attacks at 9 zachyceních
Loss of aircraft (combat/non-combat): 4 / 8
Loss of life (combat/non-combat): 12 (4 powdery mildew and 8 missing) / 27 (8 dead, 17 unaccounted for, including 9 passengers and 2 wounded)
