history
15.08.1918 - Formed at Bangor Base by the amalgamation of several separate squadrons (Nos. 521, 522 and 530) and continued anti-submarine patrols along the Welsh coast until the end of the war
22.01.1919 - disbanded
01.11.1940 - reconstituted at Shaibah base in Iraq, where it performed mainly "policing" and reconnaissance duties
DD.05.1942 - after rearmament carried out anti-submarine patrols in the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean until the end of the war
01.05.1945 - disbanded
