Jednotka vzniká 1. září 1944 (některé zdroje uvádějí 4.9.) na základně Blakehill Farm jako dopravní jednotka tvořená kanadským personálem. Vlekáním kluzáků se podílí se např. na operaci Market Garden nebo operace Varsity. S koncem války přepravuje mimo jiné zajaté kanadské vojáky zpět do Velké Británie. Zde je taky 15. června 1946 rozpuštěna. Během 2. světové války byla jednotka součásti RCAF, ale podléhala velení a operační kontrole RAF pod označením 437 Squadron RAF.

1. října 1961 je opět aktivována na základně RCAF v Trentonu jako dopravní, mezi její úkoly patří i přeprava VIP a doplňování paliva za letu.
