Řád Bohdana Chmelnického I. stupněe má podobu zlaté pěticípé hvězdy, jejíž hroty s rozpětím 55 mm mezi protilehlými vrcholy jsou proloženy pěti svazky stříbrných paprsků. Uprostřed, ve zlatém kruhu orámovaném stříbrnou obroučkou s ornamentálni výzdobou, je umístěn zlatý reliéf poprsí B. Chmelnického a ukrajinský nápis „BOHDAN CHMELNYCKIJ“. Řád neni zavěšen na stuze, k oděvu se připevňuje šroubem a matici. -

the Order of Bohdan Chmělnického[/heading]


Was established by the decree of the presidium of the Supreme soviet of the USSR of 10. October 1943. His name recalls an outstanding statesman and military leader Bohdan Khmelnytsky, who stood in the years 1648 to 1654 at the forefront of the liberation war of the Ukrainian people against the domination of the Polish feudal lords and for the re-unification with Russia. The order is according to the statutes and their supplements ministering to members of the military and guerrilla units for extraordinary decisiveness and mastery in the operations that led to the crushing of the enemy, high patriotism, bravery and dedication in the fight for the liberation of the soviet land from the fascist invaders.
He has three degrees. The first was designed commanders frontů, fleets, armies and fleets, their representatives, the chiefs of the staffs of the operating administrations of the department and the types of troops frontů, fleets, armies, and fleets, and commanders of higher guerrilla units; the other commanders of corps, divisions, brigades and regiments, their representatives, and the joint chiefs of staff and the commanders of the partisan brigades; the third soldiers, non-commissioned officers, staršinům and officers to the battalion commander and his relevant functions, the commanders of the partisan detachments and their component parts and the partisans. The order was awarded to members of regular units and partisans mainly for the actions on the liberation of Ukraine. The first order 1. the class received 14.10.1943 major general And.Also.Danilov, commander of the 12. army for the liberation of the city of Zaporozhye. The first two orders of magnitude 2. class received in October 1943, lieutenant-colonel And.N.Kaplun and major Tarasanko. The first procedure 3. the classes were awarded November 1943 several Ukrainian partisans.
Total was granted:
1. degree - the 313 individuals, 10 units
2. level - 1 539 individuals, 850 units
3. grade - 5 of 306 individuals, 216 units
Generals .To. Baranov, N.And. Borzov, I. T. Bulyčev and E.F. Žmačenko were awarded two orders 1. class.
