SS Police Regiment Schlanders




SS-Polizei-Regiment Schlanders was formed in October 1944 in Italy when 1,200-1,500 men from the Süd-Tiroler Ordnungsdienst were transferred to this unit.


It was mostly used for guard duty and capitulated to the Allies at Bolzano.

One platoon from this regiment underwent training at the Police School for Fighting Gangs II, which was located in the area of Velky Javorník on the Moravian-Slovak border.
