Progress D-436K / Прогресс Д-436К[/heading] A number of engines Progress D-436 was derived from the engine Lotarev D-36. The aim was to achieve higher performance, lower consumption, noise and emissions.
As the first was in 1985, developed by type D-436K, which was used in the aircraft early warning Antonov An-71 (code NATO: Madcap), which were made only 3 specimens, and its further development was terminated. At the same time with this plane ended up and the engines Progress D-436K.
Yet they are the engines Progress D-436K the first of a series of Progress D-436, from which they then derived all the following versions.
Technical-tactical characteristics are very little known:
Engine type: two-spool Move: 7500 kgs
Nb. FCH: Some sources place the name of Progress the name Ivchenko.
