Je těžké držet se právě u atomových ponorek faktů, když jsou tato všelijak manipulována a utajována... Jen u HMS Dreadnought se dostupné věrohodné materiály dost rozcházejí například i v počtu členů posádky (88, přesněji 11 důstojníků a 77 členů posádky vs. 113 mužů).


Docela by mě zajímal, jaký vliv měly na HMS Dreadnought americké konstrukce. Že byl pohonný systém americký, je všeobecně známo, ale co trup? Setkal jsem se i s názorem, že HMS Dreadnought je vlastně upravené plavidlo třídy USS Skipjack. Já osobně bych je z hlediska evoluce kladl spíše někam mezi USS Skate a USS Skipjack, když už by se mělo srovnávat s Američany. Nevím, chtělo by to nějaké plány nebo alespoň více fotek, je mi jich známo asi patnáct a to je dost málo na to, že se jedná o tak významnou loď... Proč o tom píši, docela mě zaujalo, že Britové o svých slavných Polarisech přiznávají jen hodně neochotně, že jde v podstatě o modifikované USS Lafayette.
