At the request of an Afghan customer, in 1938, the Škoda company developed a towerless tank project called the Š-I-P. The built prototype Š-I-P used components from the canceled prototype Škoda Š-I-SPO. The armament consisted of a pair of 7.92 mm machine guns. At the head of the superstructure was mounted heavy machine gun ZB vz.37 and light machine gun ZB vz.26. However, the Afghans lost interest in this type and considered a higher-armored vehicle. The dancer was also offered to other interested parties, but without a response. In 5/1939, its designation was changed to T-2. In 1939, the Norwegians showed interest, but due to the bad international situation, this potential contract was thwarted. Even the German occupying army did not show interest in this type. The prototype, which no one was interested in, remained in the Škoda company, where in 1943 it was used in experimental experiments with medium drive belts. In this last form, after unsuccessful tests, he lived to see the end of the war and was scrapped in 1946.
