Вертолётный минораскладчик 2
Name: VMR-2 helicopter minesweeper
Abbreviated name: VMR-2
Army nickname: Rain (Дождь, read: dožď)
Description:
Helicopter mechanical minesweeper VMR-2 was derived from the automobile minesweeper PMR-3 and is designed for rapid mining of large areas during the flight of the helicopter Mi-8T.
VMR-2 consists of:
- the anchoring nodes of the paver fit into the clamping nodes in the cargo space of the helicopter,
- a support frame installed on the floor of the helicopter,
- the belt conveyor is mounted in the upper plane of the supporting frame,
- the ammunition magazine is located above the belt conveyor,
- ejection mechanism,
- control system.
The VMR-2 ejection mechanism gives the mines a rotation that ensures the correct placement of the mine on the ground or in the snow. A well-trained operator is said to be able to lay up to 200 anti-tank mines in two minutes. The VMR mechanism also enables the scattering of anti-personnel aileron mines.
Basic tactical and technical data:
- helicopter crew: 3 persons
- when installing or removing the paver: up to 7 people
- empty weight of the paver: 617 kg
- loaded paver, weight: 2617 kg
- length of the paver: 6810 mm
- width of the paver: 800 mm
- stacker height: 1550 mm
- length of the extension arm of the paver:?
- plate-shaped mines: TM-57, TM-62M, TM-62P2, TM-62P3, TM-62T, TM-89
- number of mines carried: 200 pcs
- lighters for TM-62 mines: MVČ-62, MVP-62, MVP-62P
- lighters for mines TM-57 a TM-89: neuvedeny
- operating temperature range:?
- working flight altitude: up to 50 m
- working flight speed: up to 20 km/h
- distance between scattered mines: 5 to 11 m
- tank charge: 15 to 20 min.
- expected mining time shorter than 5 min.
