Sukhoi Su-25UBM / Суxoй Су-25УБМ
Modernization of training aircraft Su-25UB. The modernization consists in the installation of more powerful R-195 engines and new instrumentation. Its instrumentation is almost identical to that of the Su-25SM single-seat combat aircraft, but compared to that aircraft it has a modified data bus. Most of the analogue instruments in the front cockpit have been replaced by digital ones, including a colour multifunction LCD display, while the rear cockpit is equipped with a pair of colour displays and a TV-guided anti-ship missile guidance system, which, in addition to training tasks, enables the aircraft to perform specialised missions using high-precision weapons.
The armament can be mounted on a total of 11 hangers - underwing and 10 underwing, while the total payload has been increased to 5,000 kg. The integrated armament consists of a 30 mm GS-302 cannon, the aircraft is also equipped with a pair of PLRS R-73M2.

The prototype aircraft was manufactured in June 2007 (06/2007) at the Ulan-Ude Aircraft Plant and presented at the MAKS 2007 exhibition. Since February 19, 2008 (19.02.2008) ground tests on this prototype (fuselage čnumber 21) are underway at Kubinka airfield near Moscow. A second prototype, produced at the same plant, is expected to join the tests from mid-2008, with both prototypes also taking part in flight tests.
