Connecting eskadrona – Szwadron Łączności – Signal Squadron
It was a separate vojskovou setninou cavalry within the cavalry brigade. At the request of the Main staff were connecting eskadrony excluded from the competences of the Headquarters of the signal corps (Dowództwo Wojsk Łączności) and reclassified under the department of cavalry (Departament Kawalerii), which of course didn't have a professional working body for the activity of the coupling forces, causing problems especially in the issue of vocational training and the cast of enlisted functions. Eskadrona was under the direct command of the commander eskadrony in the disposal of the chief of staff of the brigade through the commander of the signal corps of the brigade (dowódca łączności). Command function perform the officers of the signal corps.
Eskadrony existed in peaceful assembly cavalry brigades, but they were not secret mobilization bodies. Their mobilization was carried out with the personnel and material by ensuring the designated fundraising body (the equestrian regiment or section of the journey of the artillery).
The task of connecting eskadrony was the security of the connection between the headquarters of the brigade, the superior command, subordinate, adjacent or assigned units. With regard to the brigade headquarters could be removed from their regiments within a distance of about 15 km, and in addition will drive the marching groups of services at a distance of 30-40 km and will need to maintain a connection with the superior command and the neighbouring departments to the distance of 40-60 km, the system connection must be effective in the belt width of about 30 km and a depth of approximately 60 km. Connecting eskadrona should ensure the speed of information transmission, the possibility of immediate communication at greater distances (telephone, radio) or fast delivery of orders and reporting in the use of cars, motorcycles, aircraft, bicycle couriers, regardless of the transport or weather conditions.
