Unfortunately the photo shows a VERY poor reconstruction of the vehicle. The front (tension wheel) is from something - perhaps a crawler tractor - and how the running wheels are actually attached is probably known only to the creator of the "reconstruction" . Even the tracks are from something else (the original ones look different). The tank in the photo is from the Central Museum of Armed Forces in Moscow and is probably the worst of the forces on display (if so it has a modified rear part to fit the gearbox from GAZ 69. There are at least 5 MS-1's still preserved and this one is the worst in terms of authenticity, probably the best one is displayed in the "Primorsky region" i.e. in the far east, the second solid one is in Kubinka.
Realistically there were two basic modifications of the MS-1 tank (T-18) tanks of the 1927g model also called "ranoj seriji" had a smaller turret without a niche at the rear, the 1930g model had a turret with a niche at the rear (as in the photo).
