Dear Sirs,
in the defunct corporate archive of VHJ ČKD n.p. Prague was a dimensioned three-dimensional drawing describing this vehicle. During the war, a photocopy of the drawing was made in a format close to A4. The appearance of the vehicle in the drawing does not correspond to the appearance of Pz. Kpfw. 38 (t) Ausf. F. Nevertheless, I consider this document valuable because it is one of the few to mention the dimensions of the tank. According to the tradition of ČKD, its listing was binding - that is why I present them here.

Drawing: 1 SPE 2031 PZ. KFWG 38 (T) SERIES VI

Original status:
- drawing redone by scraping from the drawing: 1 SPE 1781 or 1 SPE 1787,
- the data on the origin of the drawing are illegible,
- the mirror-inverted A4 positive positive was in the defunct ČKD archive, under number: 110 50 I 260,
- the image under this designation was not found in the negative pool.

Notes:
- quoted rates determined from the inverted positive.
- thirty dimensions in group "A", twenty-six dimensions in "B" and four dimensions in "C".
- illegible digits are marked "?".

Dear Sirs,
I am attaching photos of Pz. Kpfw. 38 (t) Ausf. F, which is an exhibit of the Russian Tank Museum in Kubinka.

In the autumn of 2002, this exhibit was inspected and found to be repairable.

At the beginning of 2003, during repairs, non-original parts were removed from the exhibit and a group of enthusiasts restored the machine to almost its original condition. Due to the lack of original spare parts, only a few components inside the tank were replaced by similar parts of Russian origin. During the repair, for example, it was found that the Solex carburetors from the LT-38 tank are identical to the carburetors used in the Soviet T-70 light tanks.

This is the only document that shows the road wheels as 780mm diameter. All other sources state 775mm. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Dear colleague,
a photocopy of the original of this drawing was stored in the ghost archive VHJ CKD Praha s. p.
Factory designation: 1SPE2031 Pz. Kpfwg 38 (t) series VI. To produce a copy of the drawing used in the older version of the drawing for which they were vyškrabány the original data and the written new. Photocopies of archival designations: 110 50 And 260.
Data on the dimensions were on the mirror-reverse of the negative were hard to read. That's why I in the eighties produced this version.

Dear colleague,

Dimension data he and mirror-inverted negative was hard to read. That's why I developed this version in the 1980s..

Diskuse

780 vs 775
Why wonder over the deviation of six per mille?.

Does anyone have copies of original production drawings of TNHP / Pz38t components?
eg leaf springs,, suspension mountings, bogie, axles, sprocket, idler, track links, etc.?

Dear colleague,
In the defunct company archive - VHJ ČKD Praha - I did not find the production drawing documentation. To my knowledge, after the war in the fifties all technical documentation was handed over to factory in Martin in Slovakia.
As far as I know, the old production documentation was taken in the 1990s from the tank factory ZŤS Martin. Where is now located I do not know.
I will ask colleagues if they found anything in the military archives in Prague and Olomouc.
