During outbreak 2. st. army regiment containing iba at 250 mužov, from tohto dôvodu sa started with rekrutovaním and výcvikom. 22.7.1940 regiment is zaradený to aktívnej services and is mobilized.

In novembri 1941, the regiment is presunutý to Niagara-on-the-Lakewhere it is designated as the passenger unit to protect the area and priľahlých kanálov.

14.1.1942 odchádza base unit to zámoria, as a backup. The second part of sa presúva vo februári 1942 to Newfoulandu, where it is directed to the protection of Torbay airport and Cape Spear.
In januári 1943, the regiment is selected by the pre service in zámorí and odchádza to Debert Camp in Nova Scotia, where it is pridelený to 20. brigade, 7. Canadian divízii pechoty.

10.6.1943 sa unit boarding in Halifax on the RMS Empress of Scotland, smerom to England. The regiment cheetah at 4.500 mužov.

Po príchode sa stave súčasťou 10. Canadian brigade pechoty, 4. Canadian obrnenej divízie.

25 júla 1944 the regiment pristáva in normadii, on juno beach. 9.8.1944 unit provides support a Regiment of British Columbia pri bojoch on Hill 195, but a mistake in the navigácii, the unit attacking the incorrect hill (Hill 140) in tyle nepriateľa, pričom suffer ťažké straty (128 mužov and 47 machines).

31.8.1944 regiment vyplňa priestor in the area of Hill 240, and fighting alongside the Polish obrnenej divízie.

31.8.- 8.9.1944 unit progresses into the Atlantic, pričom sa 8.9.1944 stops pri Leopldovom kanáli. Subsequently the unit progresses with the 4. divíziou to Holland and oslobodzuje Welberg and Steenbergen. A regiment of wintering in februára in the area of Steenbergen. Unit sa koncom februáru and začiatkom marca 1945 participating in operácie Blockbuster and the battle in the area of the Hochwald.

Continue until the end of the war sa participates in operácii in the area of the Rhine.

Celkovo in the priebehu war unit lost 65 dôstojníkov and 1235 mužov.
