Václav Thoř graduated from the business academy and in 1916 he was drafted as a one year volunteer. Deployed was on the Italian battlefield, where he suffered severe injuries. However, in the army, he stayed and went through the fight in Slovakia. In October 1920 he became an officer of the profession, and which has undergone various lower leadership positions in the artillery. In 1936 he joined as a clerk in the ministry of national defense.
In 1940 he was arrested and sentenced. They spent the war in various prisons and concentration camps.
In June 1945 he was appointed adjutant of the commander of the artillery of the WELL and at the same time he was a member of the admissions committee. From march 1947 to August 1950 passed a series of higher command functions in the field artillery. In August 1950 he was appointed deputy commander of the artillery WELL. In December 1950, became velitem the Main rear and in January 1950 the deputy minister of national defense for things material. In June 1955 he went to a backup.
