April 20, 1942 at 11.00 a program of tests was started, in which Henschel's prototype VK 45.01 (H) also took part. Both with the same tower and armament. Porsche's prototype won the special stage, Henschel won tests in maneuverability and maneuverability. After these tests, Adolf Hitler ordered the continuation of further tests, which took place in May at the Berka test tank center. Due to the complexity of the Porsche drive, Henschel won.
