CHN - WS-1B (302mm raketa)

WS-1B
The WS-1B is an unguided 302 mm caliber missile designed for the WS-1B rocket launcher system. The missile is developed from the WS-1 by increasing the length and extending the range (to 180 km).

The missile reaches a maximum speed of M 5 with a maximum flight altitude of 60 km and a range of 80000 m to 180000 m. The deviation from the target can reach a max. value of 1%-1.25% of the target range. The 302 mm calibre missile is 6376 mm long with a mass of 725 kg, of which the warhead mass is 150 kg. The launcher can be equipped with 4-8 302 mm calibre missiles.

The missile is powered by a single-stage solid propellant rocket motor (HTPB type) FG-43.

The 302 mm rocket can be equipped with several types of warhead - anti-armour (anti-personnel) submunition, burst, thrust, or FAE (fuel air explosive) type.
The SZB-1 warhead is equipped with an anti-tank submunition (the explosion produces up to 500 high-speed projectiles destroying armoured vehicles with their kinetic energy from above). The ZDB-2 warhead (ZDB-2B) uses a fragmentation-rupture warhead with steel balls and pre-formed shrapnel.
