Waffen-Grenadier-Regiment der SS (rumänisches Nr 2) vznikl ve městě Dollersheim, V Rakousku, ale s dubnu 1945 ještě nebylo k dispozici dost zbraní a tak byl přezbrojen na protitankový pluk s novým jménem SS Panzer-Zerstörer-Regiment (rumänische Nr 2).
