Poznámka:
Note:
- Yak-9K with a 45 mm NS-45 cannon with 29 rounds and a distinctive muzzle brake to deal with the massive recoil. Firing the cannon at speeds below 220 mph caused dramatic loss of control and tossed the pilot back and forth in the cockpit; however, accurate shooting was possible at higher speeds and in 2–3 round bursts. The recoil also caused numerous oil and coolant leaks. The heavy cannon installation degraded performance sufficiently to require fighter escort. Yak-9K saw only limited use due to unreliability of the NS-45.

History:
Designers Jakovlevovy OKB tried to increase the firepower fairly light Jakovlevů How-9, first installed between the cylinder of the engine sedmatřicetimilimetrový cannon the Nudelman-Suranov NS-37, so there was a version Yak-9T, this is a cannon not too effective muzzle brake and, in addition, with this weapon, it was not possible to fire a short burst. The plane was pulled down from the direction.

The development went on and so there is a new version of the Yak-9K, which carries the cannon the Nudelman-Suranov NS-45. This cannon has recoil almost fivefold higher in comparison with NS-37, it required a much more sophisticated and more effective muzzle brake. New brake picked up from the 85% of the recoil and then with pětačtyřicetimilimetrovým cannon reportedly shot even a little better than the NS-37.

Cannon was in the new Jake added one more machine gun UBS, pilots were advised not to fire at the same time, out of a cannon and a machine gun.

The weight of the second volleys were respectable, theoretically, it was possible to shoot in one second shells weighing 5,53 kg, such a volley outperformed all the German and their own machines. In practice, however, the cannon was fired, more or less single shots, a maximum dose after three shots were fired. The aircraft had to fly higher than the speed of 350 km/h, otherwise it is almost stopped in the air or was taken down an unexpected direction. Recoil had so destructive an effect on the engine and airframe, there were cracks, cracked hoses, pipes, clips and brackets from the engine was leaking oil and coolant.

Design Jake, however, was remarkably resistant to damage by enemy fire, was recorded case, when he was As damaged by six shells of caliber of 20 mm, had sheared off the rear wing beam, damaged the oil tank and in the trunk was a hole with a diameter of 750 mm. The aircraft landed at its airport far 100 km.

The yak-9K was successfully deployed in the battle of Donbas, Melitopol, Nikolayev, Crimea, Sevastopol, Minsk and in the Berlin operation.

The successful tactic was blocking enemy airfields. The pilots of the Yaks your cannons attack enemy aircraft, anti-aircraft stations and airport equipment, if necessary, could damage even the surface of the air lanes. Yak-9K could successfully destroy the bombers at a distance of 400 - 600 m as well as ground targets.
The yak-9K wasn't produced in large quantities, defended that the lack of reliability of the cannon.
