SOV - ZDN-1 (stereoskopický dálkoměr)

ZDN-1
ЗДН-1
The ZDN stereoscopic rangefinder is used for rapid measurement of the range of targets when small-calibre anti-aircraft artillery is firing. The rangefinder design allows one person to quickly determine the range of aerial targets from a single position with sufficient accuracy, without any other calculations.
The distance read from the range scale is announced by voice to the automatic sighting device, which solves the problem of meeting the grenade with the target. A special shoulder mount allows the rangefinder to be kept in constant combat readiness.
The ZDN rangefinder is an upgraded version of the ZD rangefinder.

Of course it is originally a Soviet rangefinder. But according to my latest information it is a Hungarian repas/remanufacture/compilation from ND from 1987 (according to v.no.). The production code on the label "41" is the Hungarian optics manufacturer MOM (Magyar Optikai Művek). Rangefinders (and still other optics from this manufacturer) were produced/remanufactured for export to North Africa and the Middle East during this period.
It came in exactly this finish, including the "camouflage" on the shipping crate.
Beech- completely all the labels on the equipment are in English.

Diskuse

If you actually have it in your hands, see if the label shows the manufacturer, or at least the country of origin. Let me classify it correctly. But I assume it's of Soviet origin and the original designation is ЗДН-1 (Зенитный дальномер нерасстраивающийся-1 метровый).

So now it is clear why it has such wild colours and not the socialist green known from Central European armies.

OK, I'll throw it up as SOV.
