Vodní hrad Lipý byl založen ve 2. pol. 13. století. v 16. století byl přestavěn částečně na renesanční zámek. Za třicetileté války byl roku 1643 vypleněn Švédy a nebyl plně obnoven. V roce 1957 byl zbořen palác. V roce 1583 byl nedaleko (jen několik metrů) postaven renesanční tzv. "Červený dům" ten byl používán jako letohrádek.
