housing Estate in the style of socialist realism
Poruba was a small municipality and its development has started in particular from 50. years 20. century, when it started with the construction of massive and expensively designed sidliště in the spirit of socialist realism, the so-called "social realism". The settlement, which was later refilled and about the younger development, not so much valuable, is located on a vast area, housing the houses catch the eye of often your got delusions of grandeur and decor. Abundantly are represented by areas of greenery, yet it is richly addressed as well as communication, which vevodí wide class and one smaller one. Many of the houses have really showy decorations often plastic. Got delusions of grandeur, literally screaming, many passages having the height of several floors. Also, you cannot overlook some of the houses that have a tower or architecturally very attractively designed house "Arc", which was supposed to be a gateway into a new working class of the city. The estate is directly adjacent to the older buildings including the church of st. Nicholas and the castle. At least part of the housing estate is under monumental protection.
