VG-70

VG-70

One of the development versions of Sa vz.58 referred to as VG-70. It was a submachine gun Sa vz.58 with a suspended grenade launcher of Czechoslovak production, which together formed a compact unit.
The grenade launcher was an integral part of the weapon and had its own trigger mechanism with a handle. While charging, the grenade launcher tilted to the left. The charge came from a cartridge case from signal pistol caliber 26.5 mm. It consisted of a powder charge and a cumulative projectile with arrow stabilization. In addition, classic flares could be fired, eliminating the need to carry a signal pistol.

initial muzzle velocity 195 m/s
effective range up to 200m
penetration at perpendicular impact 70mm
weight of the set 3.76kg

The weapon was to be primarily armed border guard units.

This weapon (vz.58) had some details solved differently: The fly carrier had a bayonet catch on the right side, as the lower part served as the base of the grenade launcher. The stock was equipped with a massive rubber recoil damper. The target was normally raised by 90 ° relative to its position, it was perforated, with an indication intentional for firing grenades.
Surface treatment of the grenade launcher - firing varnish, beech wood stock, the barrel is hard chrome-plated.
