Formed on the basis of the orders of the Military council of the Northern section of the partition aperture and Pertohradské defence area of 3. may 1918 from the volunteer sections Novorževského section under the name of Novorževská missile division.
14.June 1918 was renamed the Pskovskou shooting division and from 21. January 1919 the Lithuanian rifle division.
