Brotheridge, Den
Den Brotheridge was born in stafforshirském Smethwicku Herbert Charles and Lilian Brotheridgovým. During her studies at a local polytechnic is actively involved in football and cricket. His platoon's task fulfilled, but he himself injured after a few hours succumbed. Lieutenant Herbert Denham Brotheridge is generally regarded as the first of the fallen allied soldier in the operation NEPTUNE. His body was buried at the cemetery in Ranville. Nineteen days after the death of his wife gave birth to a daughter Margaret.
