Ju 87 V-1 - initial prototype with Rolls Royce Kestrel engine and twin tail
Ju 87 V-2 - second prototype with Jumo 210Aa engine and single tail
Ju 87 V-3 - third prototype with a reduced engine and enlarged rudder
Ju 87 V-4 - fourth prototype with enlarged tail and modified undercarriage covers
Ju 87 A-0 - pre-production machines with full armament, simplified wing and engine Jumo 210Ca; 11 machines produced (WNr. 087-0001 - 087-0011)
Ju 87 A-1 - first production machines virtually identical to the V-4
Ju 87 A-2 - fitted with a more powerful engine Jumo 210Da and a new propeller
B-series and R-series:
Ju 87 V-6 - Ju-87 A-1 with Jumo 211 engine (WNr. 087-0027; D-IDJU)
Ju 87 V-7 - Ju-87 A-1 converted to B-series prototype (WNr. 087-002i; D-IDFS)
Ju 87 V-8 - WNr. 087-4926
Ju 87 V-9 - WNr. 087-4927; D-IDLX
Ju 87 B-0 - pre-production machines with new fuselage, Jumo 211A engine, larger tail, redesigned cockpit cover, modified main landing gear covers and a second MG-17 machine gun.
Ju 87 B-1 - production version, same as the B-0 but with Jumo 211Da
Ju 87 B-2 - better Jumo 211D engine, new propeller and other small modifications, kits designed to modify the machine (skis, Trop, radio, armour)
Ju 87 C-0, C-1 - designed for aircraft carriers, catapult mount, landing hook, retractable landing gear, folding wings, life raft and jettisonable landing gear
Ju 87 R-1 - a long range variant with enlarged fuel tanks, further versions R-2, R-3 and R-4 were produced which were very similar. The R series was not produced in large numbers.
D and F series:
Ju 87 D-1 - production version with Jumo 211J-1 engine, new propeller, redesigned fuselage and rear machine gun replaced by a pair of MG-81
Ju 87 D-3 - very similar to the D-1, more armour for ground troop support
Ju 87 D-4 - torpedo carrier, converted back to D-3
Ju-87 D-5 - longer wings, deployable landing gear, no air brakes, MG-17 replaced by MG-151/20 guns
Ju-87 D-6 - redesigned, no further development
Ju 87 D-7 - night attack machine, with modified exhausts and other modifications for night flight
Ju 87 D-8 - converted D-5 to D-7
Ju 87 E - torpedo carrier designed for aircraft carrier, never flown
Ju 87 F / Ju-187 - completely rebuilt Ju-87 machine, never flown
Ju 87 G-1 - Ju-87 D-3 supplemented with a 37 mm gun as a tank fighter
Ju 87 G-2 - Ju-87 D-5 with 37 mm cannon as a tank fighter
Ju 87 H (H-1) - converted Ju-87 D for training
